NAKED AMBITION TO SET UP OWN STUDIO

MODEL posing and rehearsing on Plymouth Hoe with art director Abigail White of Artworks 3, and Spanish life model Ashley Franceschi.

Global arts portal Artworks 3, are taking part in the finale – for three days of a contemporary art festival – being celebrated at the Plymouth Art Weekender showcases later this month, from the 22-24 September.

Artworks 3 are putting the finishing touches together for a marquee studio in Hoe Park on the 24 September – where Spanish model 26-year-old, Miss Ashley Franceschi, will be posing semi nude for budding artists wanting to paint her illuminating pose, expressive pout, or anatomic take on the human condition.

Half-hour studio painting sessions are free, and Abigail White of Artworks 3, said: “Life models is more than just getting your kit off. It’s hard physical work for our models, far from the glamour of catwalk, Ashley will have to sit still for 30 minute sessions.”

Miss Franceschi, said: “I am a nude model and enjoy the life drawing sessions. Being an artist myself I enjoy the organic meditation working with other painters. Being a life model I’m a performing artist and getting the right poses are crucial for budding and established painters.”

“I’m originally from Northern Spain and lived in the UK for the last 5 years. I’m presently studying an entrepreneur and creative course, at the University of Plymouth, and looking to set up my own sculpture studio in the city when I finish.”

The Plymouth Art Weekender takes place annually every year, and celebrates a wide range of events and exhibitions throughout the city.
