FAMILY BIZ SHOW A GREAT SUCCESS

Dorcas Media and International Trade Matters took part at the Family Business Show in York recently.

Paul Andrews, managing director of Family Business United who organised the show, said: “More than 240 delegates descended on York Racecourse Conference Centre for the inaugural National Family Business Show that sought to provide a showcase for family firms with plenty of time for networking and learning too.”

“It was a pleasure to bring the inaugural event to Yorkshire and to continue to build the profile for family firms across the UK, raising the bar and celebrating everything they do that contributes significantly each and every day to communities the length and breadth of the country,” he said.

Dorcas Media was one of the 50 exhibitors at the showcase that came from across the UK, where a packed programme of workshops and master classes were held throughout the day, said media director of Dorcas Media, Kevin Kelway.

Linda Middleton-Jones from International Trade Matters also presented at the show and talked about the importance of UK family businesses exporting into new and existing markets.

The show was formally opened by local MP Julian Sturdy MP for York Outer.
