COURAGE ON HORSEBACK

TODAY, the start of the Great War, and I want to pay special tribute to my Granfer Harold Cox – who fought from 1914-1917. This beautiful white horse in the picture took the fire and saved his life. Granfer was badly injured and spent months in hospital.

As I attend the ceremony on Monday at St Andrew’s Church (Plymouth) that holds so much significance to my family over the last 260 years. I will remember him and his brave colleagues, said Kevin Kelway
